  • Kindle Touch Now Unavailable On Amazon, New Kindle Fire Launch Imminent?

With only a couple of days more to go before the month of September arrives, rumors surrounding Amazon's 2012 Kindle Fire are at its peak. Kindle Touch 3G and Wi-Fi models are now unavailable on Amazon with the "we don't know when or if this item will be back in stock" caption along with it, reports The Verge. Does this signify that a 2012 Kindle Fire tablet is already underway? Amazon will be hosting a media event in California this coming September 6, where the purported next-generation Kindle Fire tablet might be unveiled. Stay tuned for more updates.

  • Sony's First-Party Accessories for the Xperia Tablet S

The Xperia Tablet S will lauch with a number of really nice accessories. Of course, you've heard about the keyboard case thanks to previous leaks. Other accessories include a media speaker dock w/ remote, an HDMI swivel dock and a metal stand, according to a thread at the XDA Developers forum.

It's all good stuff, but we suspect Sony will price them at a premium, as usual.

  • New York Times Confirms Existence of 7.85-inch iPad

Apple will unlease a mini iPad with a 7.85-inch display, and the company plans to use the device to finish its domination of the tablet market by leaving no room for competitors, reports the New York Times.

Of course, its biggest competitors will be the brand new Nexus 7 tablet and the upcoming Kindle Fire successor, though Microsoft is also developing a next-gen tablet.

  • ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T Launches (Limited Quantities)

ASUS is great, but the company doesn't know how to meet a deadline. The TF700T Trasnformer Pad Infinity should have hit stores during the last quarter, but we're happy to see it arrive in stores this weekend. Better late...

So far, we only know of one store that is shipping it, and that's Office Depot. You can only order two per customer, so we imagine stock is limited. In the past, Office Depot has accidentally published listings for products that haven't been released, but the company was quick to take the listings down when it happened. We've carefully watched this page today, and it looks legit. Though it does concern us that no other retailers have put the tablet up for sale, there's been no evidence of foul play (cheap publicity stunts or stupid mistakes) so far.

  • Now Arriving: Google's Nexus 7 Tablet and Nexus Q

Good news for of the Android realm. The Nexus 7 tablet should hit stores by the end of this weekend, and some customers may have already received a pre-ordered unit by mail. It's literally arriving as I write the message.

The same should be true for the Nexus Q.
