Samsung Galaxy Note Release Date

  • 2012

It's a beast, to say the least, but we don't say the least 'round these parts. Imagine a Galaxy S II blown up to the size of a tiny tablet, and give the display a resolution fit for a small PC monitor. Then add a stylus, HSPA+ connectivity and a 1.4GHz, dual-core processor. Lay on some Android 2.3. Tack on an 8MP camera with LED flash and 1080p video capture, and make the phone capable of acting as a USB host. Now, make sure it's less than 10mm thin. That is the Galaxy Note. It's a power-user's dream. We imagine business people would love it too, but it's also perfect for anybody - power user, businessman, or not - that loves to hand write/draw notes and sketches when out and about.

Official Announcements

Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Note at the beginning of September, though the company didn't offer pricing and release details at the time. Unlocked and locked models of this handset now sell throughout Europe and Asia. It's coming to AT&T in the US on the 19th of February. A SprintFeed source says it'll land at Sprint, and we hear rumors of a Verizon launch too. Anyway, some American retailers have already imported the device to appease early adopters.

Product Details

That massive, 1280x800 display is perfect for hand writing/drawing notes and sketches, and it's sufficiently powered to handle the most data-hungry and CPU-hogging apps that'll hit the Android Market over the next two years. AT&T's American Galaxy Note will include 4G LTE connectivity, which is not available on the international version, so the processor will be replaced with an LTE-compatible, 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8660.

news and announcements

  • AT&T Releases Android 4.0 for Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note

Good news for Samsung/AT&T fans! The very highly-anticipated Android 4.0 update for the Galaxy S II Skyrocket and Galaxy Note handsets are now available. If your phone hasn't downloaded the update or hasn't asked you to install it, it should only be a matter of time. We don't imagine you'd have to wait too long.

  • Coming to T-Mobile: Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note

The words sound like beautiful music: the Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note will call T-Mobile home. The Galaxy S III lands June 20, and the Galaxy Note lands July 11, according to TmoNews. If you'd like the Galaxy S III in white, that also lands July 11. Of course, T-Mobile has not announced these dates, and that's probably because the company hasn't finalized the release details. Anything can happen between then and now, so stay tuned!

  • T-Mobile Will Get The Galaxy Note?

We've heard this rumor once or twice already, but we hear a lot of rumors around here. Without more convincing or significant evidence, we had ignore it the way we ignored that mysterious Verizon Note, which won't ever happen (most likely). Now, TmoNews obtained a picture of what is supposed to be a T-Mobile branded Note. We'll continue to investigate the matter until it happens.

  • This is Why the Samsung Galaxy Note Sells Well and Reviews Poorly

Reviewers need to adjust their expectations. They conclude that the Note isn't such a great device as a smartphone, but it's not really a smartphone. It's a new type of device in its own category, which some are calling the "phablet". Needless to say, the Galaxy Note is horrible smartphone because phones need to be small, but as a phablet, it doesn't get better than the Galaxy Note. People that love it, want more than just a smartphone. If the phablet were a category of device before the Note hit stores, it would have bene reviewed much better. Don't expect a good smartphone when you review a phablet; otherwise, you'll give it a bad score no matter what.

  • Release Date for Samsung's American Galaxy Note Announced

Satisfying breath-holding, Android fans in the States, Samsung announced the release date for the American Galaxy Note at the end of January. The handset should land on AT&T's 4G network on the 19th of February, so it's only a matter a few weeks until we get our hands on one too. Samsung announced the device late last year, debuting the American Galaxy Note at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas at the beginning of January.

The release date that we place on our website is the first day that we see it being sold to Americans at any web or brick-and-mortar store. It is not necessarily the release date of the carrier-subsidized variant, which sometimes takes weeks or months to hit stores. Usually, the unlocked, sim-free variant becomes available first, and that was the case the with the Galaxy Note.

Release date states Nov 2021. What is the date it can be purchased from AT&T?
I thought that would be the RELEASE DATE!!

Another big FAIL for droid users, yes its a monster, and yes very desireable but, but without ICS operating system just another google fail. Whats the point of having a face to face video if its not native on the device? Must run some app to use it and the apps FAIL. Until Google can get the OS's to update on all android phones instead of relying on ATT or Samsung or other carriers, its a total FAIL.

Anonymous says:

I have a Dell streak so its ATT time make up for messing up the streak! So heck 5.29 nice and fast plus Lte and the colors man!!!!

Anonymous says:

i cant wait tell this monster comes out i will cream my pants

Anonymous says:

Hope those marketing honchos from Samsung would see this. What I want for the Notes to begin with:

1. Release it direct to public, so those of use who would not get in to contract-chains of carriers would jump on it.

2.Its a novel marketing buzz Samsung can capitalize.

3.Look what HTC is doing by coming closer to user community by helping to unlock their phones, if they want to.

Someone posted about its March release in the US...???

Anonymous says:

How true is it that it will be releaes in the US sometime in March?

Siri is nothing but a programmed ai..
But there was a ai program integrated to phone services that user can teach the meaning of the words and stuffs through texting with ai in korea at early 2000. Now days, those companies r considering to make this ai with voice service into the phone. Which I would love, cuz I didn't feel like I was talking to an ai when I used that service but which siri makes me feel like I'm talking to a robot -.-

I still c some ppl try to argue about apple and android -.-
Iphone was a gr8 device which developed from itouch and ipod. Ios is good I'm ganna be honest but u gotta know that the software gap is getting so close by now. AND like some1 on the comment mentioned that droids or ss focus on hardware. Well if the hardware is crap shit, it won't support the software well lol
And plus since software gap is close, now we gotta look at hardware and features lol
Apple may hold design patent. But ss hold 3g patent and hardware patent. And iphone's hareware r from asian company, processor were from ss or the other company from asia. So ss is more effective company and whtvr.

Bought in Kuwait unlocked Nov 4th. Working in US on T-mobile. Love it. Taking notes, recording thoughts and keeping schedules a breeze along with videos, ads and other with clairty. Much better than I phone.

Anonymous says:

I was in St. Maartin last weekend and actually handled the monster, I put it next to my wife's IPhone and it looked tiny, but the thing, as the reviews state, is easy to hold, thin, light, and the screen is nothing but gorgeous.

I chickened out in buying it for $800US, will wait for full ATT or other sim version. A little concerned that it only says "3G," was explained that ATT is not 4G, only "3.5", but that it will be fast. But I don't want to buy a phone that won't do data and downloads.

Im really thinking of ordering on amazon or technotradinghouse.com cuz I cant wait to have it in my hand. do you guys think that they will anounce before xmas for us? one thing about the phones that I love is a giant screen and this baby looks like my dream phone and I read the amazon rewiews. it looks like people are loving it and all the previous iphone users are saying that no going back :)

Verizon doesn't carry the Galaxy S II for various possible reasons that relate to Samsung's legal issues in selling some of its products in Europe. Instead, Verizon gets the Galaxy Nexus from Samsung.

Whenever I use my iPad to write down a memo, the pressure-insensitive stylus really frustrates me. Now, I am very happy with the world eventually having a more advanced hardware.

Anonymous says:

If this phone launches in US with Ice Cream Sandwich, it will be a barn-burner. Would love to see it unlocked across carriers, but that'll never happen.

Anonymous says:

Well that's why Unlocked phones rule!!! phuck verizon, att, sprint, atell, vigrin, they always release the phone late...oh should i say US phone services. you gotta blame them not the manufacturer.

Anonymous says:

Anonymous says:

Waiting for it! Getting 2 the day it comes out! Atnt bring it on!!
