Pentax debuted its mirror-less camera in early February, though it was a mere rumor just a few days before. The rumor originated from an interview with the head of R&D at Pentax. Mirror-less cameras seem to be growing in popularity, so we're not surprised. This hot rod ships with a 16.28MP, APS-C sized CMOS sensor, and it's compatible with some new, ultra-thin lenses. In fact, they add virtually no girth when attached. Pentax says they are the thinnest interchangeable lenses on the market. The K-01 also works with Pentax's famous k-mount lenses; the feature makes it unique because the other mirror-less cameras on the market are incompatible with older lens systems.

Pentax finally unveiled the K-01 mirror-less, interchangeable-lens camera at the start of February. Though the rumors were few and scattered, the Internet's community of photographers have eagerly anticipated Pentax's entry into the mirror-less game. Of course, we're happy to see the rumor turn to fact, but we'd be happy if we could forget the yellow model exists. The K-01 start shipping in March.
