Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T Release Date

Official Release Date

  • 2012
ASUS continues to blur the line between notebook and tablet with the Transformer Pad Infinity series, debuting the TF700T at CES in January at Las Vegas. Like its predecessor, it's a quad-core-packin', keyboard-havin' bad ass, but it ups the ante by upgrading the display to 1920x1200. Wow, that's a lot of pixels for that little slab. Inside, NVIDIA's quad-core Tegra 3 (or Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4) processor runs the show, and Android 4.0 is the obvious choice for OS. The company plans to launch this bad boy in the first half of 2012, and that's all they are willing to say for now. Hopefully, this Transformer Pad won't face delays like its predecessor.

  • Jelly Bean coming to the Asus Transformer Pad Prime and Infinity

    September 26, 2012
Good news! Asus has just confirmed that its Transformer Pad Infinity and ASUS Transformer Pad Prime will be receiving the latest Android operating system very soon. Is this good news to you? • ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T Launches (Limited Quantities)

ASUS is great, but the company doesn't know how to meet a deadline. The TF700T Trasnformer Pad Infinity should have hit stores during the last quarter, but we're happy to see it arrive in stores this weekend. Better late...

So far, we only know of one store that is shipping it, and that's Office Depot. You can only order two per customer, so we imagine stock is limited. In the past, Office Depot has accidentally published listings for products that haven't been released, but the company was quick to take the listings down when it happened. We've carefully watched this page today, and it looks legit. Though it does concern us that no other retailers have put the tablet up for sale, there's been no evidence of foul play (cheap publicity stunts or stupid mistakes) so far.

  • Coming to AT&T: the Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700T) and Padfone by ASUS

ASUS's Transformer Infinity and Padfone are two highly-anticipated devices that will see a proper release on AT&T. We don't know exactly when it's happening, but it's definitely happening, according to an ASUS rep that spoke Android Authority. We think July or August are likely launch months. Even September is a good possibility.

This is some great news. For a second there, we though the Padfone was going to turn out to be vaporware. Thankfully, that's not the case.

  • Transformer Pad TF300T Shipping April 22? TF700T shipping in June?

The latest information leak out of PC World suggest the TF300T tablet by ASUS will start shipping April 22. The "accidental" release that occurred earlier this month was not official. Those initially available units are no longer available, but that should change again after the weekend.

Also, the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T lands in June, according to Notebook Italia.

PS: Other than the typical tab use, I used mine for pulling the pics off the trail cams (SD card) and copy them to a WD external hard drive. Then sharing those through my cell phone WIFI hotspot. No electricity at the cabin. Slicker than snot on a doorknob.

I had the TF201 with keyboard and I loved it. Bought it at BB. The one I bought had good wifi and the typicall GPS issue, should hopefully be resolved with the dongle. Mine also had a little light bleed on the lower right side. I took it back in anticipation for the Infinity. Even with the issues I would have kept the prime over any other pad, If I hadn't heard about this one.

when the details of the death of the 370T quad core i was a little sad but leaded even more toward the prime. Now for (hopefully) only an extra $100 I could get an applesauce maker.

After waiting for the Toshiba Excite, it was returned due to the horrible pics it was taking.....after calling I heard that many customer are complaining about the grain like pictures it was taking. I guess I will now wait a few months for this...hope its worth the wait!
